HSE students donated blood on the last day of the autumn Donor Marathon, which took place at the blood donation department of City Hospital No 52.

According to the hospital’s website, the Higher School of Economics was the first university from which so many students participated at the same time.

The Student Initiative Support Centre and the Armenian Club had worked to attract students to donate blood.

‘We’ve participated in extramural donor days before’, said Taisia Sargsyan, a fourth-year student of Public Administration, ‘so when the Student Initiative Support Centre contacted us with a proposal from the Russian Red Cross to participate in the donor marathon here at the hospital, we didn’t hesitate for a minute’.
