50%

of HSE students are involved in sports or exercise at least 1-2 times a week.

Almost half of them choose or exercise in a gym or CrossFit (a programme of constantly varied functional training performed at high intensity). Among the most popular types of sports among students are running, swimming, yoga, pilates, dancing and cycling.

These data were obtained as part of a Monitoring Survey of Student Life – 2014. More on the results of the study can be found (in Russian) in the most recent issue of ‘That’s So HSE’ (in Russian), a newsletter published by the Centre for Institutional Monitoring.
